We are exhausted, sad, dirty, proud, & very sick of litter.
THANKYOU to everyone who has made Munkyfest something to be so proud of over the years, to all the bands who have ever played, and all of the wonderful people who picked up loads of litter on Sunday morning.

Food & Drink

Just so you know, there'll be food and drink for sale at munkyfest (water is free from the drinking water tap) from the big dan's crepe van and also the munkyfest BBQ. However, we don't have a license to sell alcohol so bring your own (or buy some from the village store which is a 1 minute walk up the road). But please don't bring glass bottle onto the site cos it slices up the cows. xxx

Exciting!!!!!!

The last ever Munkyfest is less than two weeks away!!!!!!!!! (Saturday 5th August) and the collective adrenalin is slowly building like a bubbling cesspool of vile glee. everything looks set for a fun day and night of partying away to the sounds of alternative pop music. there's also going to be a munkyfest bandstand - kind of like a second stage that'll operate inbetween the main one. lots of exciting stuff on that including The Unpleasants, Redbank, Get Chevyed and some laptop wonderment. also, please, please, please bring along your cd-r compliations for a big ol' compilation swap lucky dip. we're also going to be playing them over the PA. check out the bands on our bands page of the website and get yourself a ruddy ticket from the link on the home page. come and join the fun, don't spoil the sport. xxxx

munkyfest compilation swap

We're trying to think of little things to make munkyfest as good as possible. Some of our ideas are crazy or impossible, so if you've got any suggestions, get in touch somehow.

So the comp swap, not a terribly difficult concept, but we all get a little something out of it with very little effort:
Make a CDR compilation of whatever you want.
Bring it to munkyfest
Put it in the box at the gate
Collect a ticket

and then...
During the day we'll dip into the box whenever we need music to play over the PA (whenever we have time between all these fantastic acts on the stage and bandstand...)
Towards the end of the night you can bring your ticket back and we'll randomly distribute the CDs to those who brought one.

So it's like a swap and also the chance to effectively DJ at munkyfest all in one.

Tickets now on sale

Tickets are now available. As well as giving you entry to the Last Ever Munkyfest, and a compilation CD on the door, buying in advance means you're automatically entered into the Last Ever Munkyfest Prize Draw, with a chance to win a special prize, so secret even we don't know what it is yet. It'll be good though, and just look how happy last year's winner was!

We've now sorted out some teething problems with the PayPal system, and tickets are now selling faster than ever before, so click here to go to the ticket sales page

The free under-12s tickets may be reserved if you're also buying a ticket - just send a note with your order (add a comment if using paypal). Please note that under 18s will not be able to camp or stay on site after 1am, and we reserve the right to request ID from anyone whose age we have reason to doubt.

Munkyfest is coming along nicely

Well, the plans for the last ever Munkyfest are well underway and the going is good. We are excited already, what with the amazing bands that have already been confirmed and the necessaries booked. We are also hoping to do some extra fun things at the festival, seeing as it's the last one. Any suggestions, give us a shout. Nothing daft, mind. x
